Our Healthy Children activities, events, incursions and excursions create a rich and holistic early learning experience for your child.
Healthy Food
It's important for developing children to eat the right mix of fresh and healthy foods everyday to maintain their health and well-being. At our centre we are proud to have an in-house cook who works hard to deliver healthy meals and snacks for all children throughout the week. In addition to providing new menu items, they also run hands-on cooking demonstrations and classes for the children.

At our centre we love to get children engaged in healthy food process by interacting with our herb garden and vegetable patch, participating in cooking lessons, and being able to eat from our delicious FeedAustralia approved in-house menu.

Healthy Bodies
From a baby's earliest experiences of tummy time followed by crawling, through to first steps and then those big hops, skips and jumps!

Our Healthy Bodies activities include daily scheduled physical activity time, a variety of specialist incursions and key learning activities so children understand what their wonderful bodies can do as they grow.

As part of our curriculum children get to take part in regular yoga lessons, sports incursions and an outdoor program with focus on their gross-motor-skills. With brand new yards, our educators love to get the children outdoors to take in the natural surrounds.

Healthy Minds
The skills for developing emotional strength and well-being can be developed before children are able to fully express themselves verbally. Our Healthy Minds activities include mental health awareness, mindfulness practices inspired by yoga and early opportunities for children to learn languages and explore music.

We love to develop children's minds through regular library excursions our personal language lessons with ELLA program, mathseeds and reading eggs.

Healthy Families
It takes a village to raise a child, and we do all we can to support our families. From parent information sessions to extra support when needed, and an individualised approach to helping each child reach their full potential, our families are valued members of our centre community.

We want you to be an active part of our community so we host regular family events including morning teas and breakfasts. Our Centre also provides a long orientation process and family grouping for siblings.

Healthy Communities
We are privileged to be part of our local community. Our Healthy Community initiatives include incursions and excursions, charity support and local awareness. This helps children learn how they can connect with and contribute to the community, in big ways and small.

Our children love to explore the community and we are often spotted adventuring at local cafes, Bunnings, the Library, Woolworths and the Queanbeyan Performing Arts Centre. We also take part in Bush Kindy where the children get to explore nature on guided adventures.

Healthy World
Our children are the future...and we believe it's never too early for them to understand the role they can play in contributing to a Healthy Work. Opportunities, practices and conversations about recycling, gardening, sustainability initiatives and the needs of our planet are lessons we share regularly.

We are really proud of our partnership with Bunnings who support our children with gardening so we can cultivate our worm farm, and learn about composting.
